Combustion, Performance, and Emission Behaviors of Biodiesel Fueled Diesel Engine with the Impact of Alumina Nanoparticle as an Additive

The objective of this research work is to evaluate the performance, combustion, and exhaust emissions a variable compression ratio diesel engine utilizing 25% rubber seed biodiesel mixture (B25) blended with 25 ppm 50 alumina nanoparticle running different operating conditions. An ultrasonicator was used make uniform dispersion (Al) nanoparticles in diesel–biodiesel mixture. Biodiesel has physicochemical characteristics that are comparable ASTM (American Society for Testing Materials) D6751 limitations. results revealed B25 exhibited lower cylinder peak pressure HRR (heat release rate) than at maximum power. BTE (brake thermal efficiency) 2.2% diesel, whereas BSFC increased by 6% contrast diesel. Emissions HC (hydrocarbon), CO (carbon monoxide), smoke were diminished, while NOx (nitrogen oxide) higher Further, combustion performance improved inclusion blends. In comparison B25, 50% (B25Al50) enhanced 4.8%, diminished 8.5%, HC, CO, also 36%, 20%, 44%, respectively. At load, 4.2% 6.7%, respectively, presence blend (B25Al50).
